Calm Waters Rowing

Calm Waters Rowing celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2020!

Reserve now for Spring-Fall 2022!

It’s been a crazy couple of years trying to figure out covid, but we’re still game to keep coaching. In April, we plan to open our doors to fully vaccinated guests for our 22nd season. We are taking reservations now, but, like last year, we will keep group sizes small (rarely over 8 in one group) while also offering few back-to-back sessions. All in all, it means fewer spaces available, so email us if you’re interested in coming, and we can let you know available dates. All other information can be found on our website.

For those who want a jump on the season or who may be curious to try out a different venue, we’ll be running two clinics in Beaufort, SC, before we open up in Virginia: March 28 – 30 and April 1 – 3.

Hope to see you soon!

It's a vacation. It's a camp. It's all that and more. Calm Waters Rowing is a full-service sculling camp vacation that caters to the master rower. But whether you're a beginner, recreational rower, or experienced racer, we'll design a program to fit your needs.

Our elite coaches, Charlotte Hollings and John Dunn, have more than 70 years combined experience. They'll work one-on-one with you to help you develop and improve your rowing technique.

Calm Waters Rowing is based at the former Inn at Levelfields. As one of the last antebellum mansions to be built in the Commonwealth of Virginia, it represents the final expression of the authentic hip-roofed Georgian colonial style.
